This painting depicts the path alongside the river Liffey on Custom House Quay with Liberty Hall in the background in the evening. I worked near here a few years ago and walked along here on my break almost every day, and was always inspired by how much the scene changed depending on the weather and lighting during festivals. The Custom House is an impressive building even as the skyline around it changes.
